Over 'Black Hole' schrijft Horvath: 

"For me, Black Hole is an amazing marriage of storytelling, artistry, and design. It's considered by many to be one of the most iconic comics to come out in the past twenty-five years, and rightly so. Charles Burns's story of troubled teens is one of the most haunting, beautiful, surreal, and enigmatic nightmares I've ever read. I remember the first time I cracked open the book, the incredible technique and execution of the art just knocked me over. I couldn't get over how incredibly deliberate and beautiful each panel was and how they all added up to such a doomed and haunting story. It's one of the best examples of taking such identifiable 'coming of age' tropes and twisting them until you get a terrifying glimpse of what's just beyond our illusion of safety."

Over Patrick Horvath

Filmmaker, schrijver en illustrator Patrick Horvath werd geboren Iowa, heden ten dage wonend en werkend in Los Angeles, Verenigde Staten. Als filmmaker en schrijver was hij o.a. betrokken bij de films 'Entrance' (2012), 'Southbound' (2015) en 'Hell Parade' (2018). Als illustrator publiceert hij zijn werk op zijn Instagram 'CatBirdPlanet', zijn illustraties zijn absurdistisch en vervreemdend en geïnspireerd door popculture, science fiction en pulp horror. Een populair genre, desalniettemin weet Horvath dit te vertalen in een heel eigen en herkenbaar handschrift.
